We have been trying to brew with each of our taproom staff and this beer is Millie's. She wanted a sour that was in your face sour but not suck your face in sour. She also wanted a healthy dose of real fruit added to secondary. We set off to brew a sour that has a wheat base to support the amount of raspberry that we wanted to use. We ended up with 14 pounds per barrel. When adding the fruit, well, it looked rather gruesome. Almost like the Blood of My Enemies. This beer is bright pink with a fluffy pinky, white head. The aroma is of wheat with a citrus undertone and a waft of fruit. It drinks tart but refreshing. Loads of fresh raspberry flavor comes through and finishes with a hint of malt.
